Bitcoin Cash price grew exponentially in a short period several times in its history. Bitcoin Cash was on a bull run since its inception and rose to a peak of $4,355.62 on December 20, 2017. Bitcoin Cash price in early January of 2020 was close to $200. BCH price climbed up consistently in the next few weeks and at one point Bitcoin Cash price almost breached the $500 mark in February. Following the economic crisis, Bitcoin Cash price also declined sharply in March and traded in the range of $160 to $200. Bitcoin Cash price picked up in the second quarter and did not go through any fluctuations. As of June 2020, Bitcoin Cash price is around $230.

Bitcoin Cash price prediction states that we can see BCH price crossing the thousand dollar mark again in 2025. Bitcoin Cash is a good investment for long-term returns but its too early to predict the prices for 2030 as the project is still young. Bitcoin Cash came into existence on August 1, 2017, as a result of the hard fork in the Bitcoin blockchain. Despite being the industry leader in market capitalization, Bitcoin lacked scaling. While one group recommended increasing the block size, the other opposed it and offered Segregated Witness (SegWit) as a solution. When the factions failed to reach a consensus, the group that supported increasing the block size forked the chain which gave rise to Bitcoin Cash with the ticker BCH. Bitcoin Cash is supported by Jihan Wu, co-founder of Bitmain and Roger Ver, CEO of Bitcoin.com.

Bitcoin Cash envisions to be peer-to-peer electronic cash that can be spent anywhere with low fees. Bitcoin Cash is similar to its elder brother, Bitcoin, in many ways. BCH uses the same Proof-of-Work consensus algorithm and produces a block every 10 minutes. New coins are issued through mining, and the protocol undergoes halving to regulate the issuance. Bitcoin Cash has a block size limit of 32MB and can process around 280 transactions per second.
